St Micks Youth

Youth are highly valued at St Michael’s! We run healthy and busy programs, events and camps during the year. Our aim is to help young people to get to know Jesus and build strong relationships with each other, while working out who they are in today’s confusing world.

If you’re in Year 6-12, join us on a Friday evening* at the church from 7-9pm.

* During school terms.

ST MICK’S YOUTH

FRIDAY NIGHTS 7-9pm

St Mick’s Youth meet in the church hall every Friday night during school terms, with some offsite activities. We check out the Bible to see who Jesus is and what life is about as a Christian. There are always fun activities, games, team building and other random stuff along with various segments about school, relationships, praying together and caring for each other and more. Come along!

JBS (Years 6-8)

SUNDAYS AT 9:45am & 5pm

Junior Bible Study (JBS) groups are held on Sundays during our 9:45am & 5pm church services for youth in these year groups. Come and learn about the Bible and study it in-depth with good discussion!

Safe Ministry:

All leaders and volunteers across our children’s and youth programs at St Michael’s are Safe Ministry (child protection) Trained and have been through a screening process, so you can rest assured that your children will be safe and appropriately cared for.

High School Activities & Programs

At Wollongong Performing Arts High School, Keira High School and Smiths Hill High School there is a thriving and well-attended ministry of Special Religious Education (SRE/Scripture) being taught to all of Year 7 and 8 in weekly or fortnightly classes, and year 9-12 seminars. Added to this, each school has a healthy group of students who meet weekly at lunchtimes to read the Bible together and ask questions, care and pray for one another. If your teenagers go to any of these schools, get in touch and we can point you in the right direction.
