Our Vision

What we believe

We believe Jesus is the most important person in history. We believe the Bible reveals God's plans for the world; centred on the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus.

We believe that trusting Jesus’ death is the only way to be forgiven and to go to heaven, and that Jesus will return again one day to right every wrong.

We believe that when people meet Jesus their story is changed forever.

What type of church are we?

We are part of a network of congregations that make up the Anglican Diocese of Sydney. We value the doctrinal statements and creeds that express a summary of bible-based belief as acknowledged in the 39 articles of religion.

Engage

Engage our community with sacrificial love

  • Keeping the love of God and love of neighbour (the two great commandments) at the heart of our discipleship.
  • Blessing our locality, especially the vulnerable, through practical service and care.
  • Connecting with the diversity of people in our city.
  • Being Christian voices for justice and the city's good.

Evangelise

Evangelise the lost with the gospel of Jesus

  • Trust in God's sovereign mercy by regular prayer for those we know, and don't know, to be drawn to Christ.
  • Spurring one another to proclaim Jesus and celebrating conversions.
  • Lives and conversations that are transformed by centrality of the atoning death and resurrection of Jesus.
  • Courageously challenging people to repent and trust in Jesus as Lord and Saviour.
  • Partnering with gospel workers for global mission.

Establish

Establish disciples in Christ and his church

  • Deepening joy in Christ by engaging God in Word & prayer, individually & together, that the Spirit would grow us in fruitful godliness.
  • Glorifying God in gatherings that re-centre people on Christ through preaching, confession, creed, song, prayer and conversation.
  • Creating Christian community and belonging through mutual loving care and intentional shepherding for holiness.

Equip

Equip generations of believers for ministry

  • Encouraging, discerning, training and giving opportunity to every member to use their gifts to build the church in love as well as bless the community.
  • Training disciple-makers to speak the gospel to one another and challenge the lost in this city.
  • Raising and sending generations of unpaid and paid gospel workers.
