Join us as we gather to give thanks for Liam’s leadership and service of our church as he prepares to head to Anglicare in 2025. We’ll also celebrate Meaghan’s leadership and care over children’s ministry at church, before she moves into another regional children’s ministry role in late February.
We will be hosting an afternoon tea on Sunday 16 February to give thanks to God for Liam’s work over the past 14 years, and Meaghan’s work over the past 7 years at St Michael’s.
What to Expect on Sundays 9 & 16 December
At Sunday services on the 9th and 16th of February, we will spend a brief time giving thanks and praying for Meaghan and Liam (and his family, Liz, Aidan, Eva, Naomi and Sarah), and reflecting on the many ways in which God has worked in and through them. On the afternoon of Sunday 16th, we’ll enjoy afternoon tea together from 2:30-3:15pm, followed by a more formal time of thanksgiving (ending around 4pm).
Thanksgiving Messages & Gift
Whether or not you are able to join us on Sunday 16 February, there’s also an opportunity to contribute to a gift and share a message of thanks and encouragement with Liam and Meaghan. You can:
- Contribute money towards a gift from our church family. You can make a donation to the church bank account with ‘Staff farewell gift’ as the description.
- Contribute a message towards a keepsake book for Liam or Meaghan— Add a photo of yourself if you can! If you would like to contribute a physical note or photo, you can bring these to the farewell afternoon tea or drop them in at the church office in advance. We will also have a polaroid camera and the keepsake books available on the day.
