At St Michael’s one of our four strategic goals is to “equip” members to use their gifts, and to share God’s good news. Serving the body of Christ is an important part of being part of God’s family, and equipping people to serve and use their gifts is one of our strategic goals at St Michael’s. Training to serve involves being equipped in our conviction (knowing God), our character (godly living) and our competency (skills to serve). Our ministry training week has been designed to reflect this.
Ministry Training Week (14-20 Oct) week will begin with our regular services on Sunday (8am, 9:30am, 11am, 5pm & 7pm), where Sandy will preach at all services on the topic of ‘Power and Service’ from Mark 10:42-45. On Tuesday evening (16th), we will have Ben Pfahlert, director of MTS, come to speak to us on ‘The Character of a Leader’. On Wednesday we also have our quarterly Prayer Summit at the four regular timeslots: 7am, 10am, 5:15pm and 7:30pm.
We would love to see as many as are able join us at church on Sunday, on Tuesday to hear from Ben, and then to choose at least one seminar on a ‘competency’ that interests you.
