Mission Partnership

Making Jesus known

Revelation 7:9-10 gives us a glimpse of when Christ will return and all those who trust in Him will be gathered together in praise, joy, and awe. We anticipate this day with longing, but even now God gives us glimpses as we participate in his great salvation plan. In line with that, at St Michael’s, we support mission through deep, practical, and prayerful partnership.

As a church we support 12 different missionaries and mission organisations; some local and others international. This support is financial, practical, spiritual, and relational. To partner with depth and meaningful relationship, each congregation has one focus missionary, and one focus organisation.

Our Mission Partners

Each of our Sunday services (congregations) has a “mission champion” who has an ongoing relationship with the missionaries and mission organisations, and acts as the point of contact between the mission partner and the congregation. There is also regular prayer for and monthly updates on these mission partners in our Sunday services, and via our church E-News.

8am Partners

Missionary: C & L (CMS)

Working in an international church, C continues to serve across various church ministries and at the theological seminary, equipping and sending disciples worldwide. L serves in children’s ministry, partnering with parents to raise disciples from the next generation and in training future leaders.

Organisation: Youthworks

Youthworks exists to see an effective youth and children's ministry in every church. They partner with churches and schools to orient young people for life in Christ.

9:45am Partners

Missionary: Karina Brabham (CMS)

Karina serves with CMS in Poitiers, France, working with the GBU in university ministry and encouraging students with the good news of Jesus. Please pray for her and the GBU, that students would grow in their knowledge and love of Christ.

Organisation: Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students (UOW)

The Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students (AFES) exists to proclaim Jesus Christ at University! In Wollongong, our AFES Wollongong partners are Uni Bible Group and FOCUS.

10am Partners

Mission Partner: Brendon Garlett

ShACC partners with Nowra Anglican Church, using their facilities for outreach. Brendon, a full-time pastor to Indigenous people in the Shoalhaven, ministers across all ages.

Organisation: Northern Illawarra Scripture Board (NISB)

NISB provides SRE teachers to Bulli, Woonona and Corrimal High Schools, as well as providing a chaplain to Corrimal High.

Missionary: Anna Radkovic (CMS)

Anna Radkovic works with CMS and A Rocha Kenya in Watamu, a Christian organisation seeking to make Jesus known throughout the world by helping local communities in practical, Biblically based conservation work.

Organisation: Anglican Aid

Anglican Aid is an overseas aid, development, and ministry support agency based in the Diocese of Sydney in partnership with the global Anglican Church. Compelled by the love of Christ, Anglican Aid strengthen churches and transform communities in the world’s poorest nations.

5pm Partners

Missionary: Beejai Abrahams (Berkeley Life Center)

Beejai Abrahams is the Senior Minister at Berkeley Life Center. He and his wife Sarah, along with their four kids, have been part of BLC since January 2025. Prior to this, Beejai served as a chaplain at St Mark's Anglican Sadleir and St James Whalan. He is passionate about seeing people grow as followers of Jesus — living out and sharing the Gospel in Berkeley.

Organisation: Wollongong Combined Churches Education Board (WCCEB)

As a representative organisation they provide Special Religious Education (SRE) in our local high schools for all students who wish to participate in SRE under the oversight of the approved SRE provider churches of the Wollongong area.

7pm Partners

Missionary: Ben & Alissa (with Bush Church Aid)

Ben & Alissa Connelly together with their children Josiah, Vivienne and Ezekiel have been serving with Bush Church Aid (BCA) in Cowra since January 2023. Ben is the Minister in charge of St John’s Anglican Church.

Organisation: Anglicare

Anglicare's mission is to serve people in need, enrich lives, and share the love of Jesus. At St Michael's we partner with them via the Community Pantry, English Classes, the Tin Bin, and Toys n Tucker (at Christmas), as well as prayer and financial support.
