Senior Minister

Mark

Mark is responsible for overseeing the ministry of St Michael's and particularly pastors the 8am & 7pm congregations.

Mark loves seeing people discovering the depths of Jesus' love. Originally from Sydney, he’s had the privilege of serving Jesus in both city and country, in Australia and overseas. Married to Anna, they are blessed with 5 (mostly adult) children, & a daughter-in-law.

Senior Assistant Minister

Kingsley

Kingsley is a Senior Assistant Minister and pastors the 10am Corrimal, and 5pm congregations.

Kingsley loves Jesus, people, and meeting others from all over God’s big world. He was born in Papua New Guinea, (PNG), has lived in LA, spent 15 years as a missionary in Slovenia, and most recently lived in multicultural Bankstown. But his greatest privilege is seeing God bring people from death to life when they put their trust in Jesus. He is married to Veronica and has four children: Zac, Sam, Tim and Sophie.

Assistant Minister

Hosea

Hosea is an Assistant Minister and pastors the 9:45am and 11:30am congregations.

Hosea grew up in a Christian family in south-west Sydney. He’s so thankful that his parents came to trust Jesus in a Thai refugee camp and faithfully prayed that he would come to trust Jesus too. He’s married to Jess, and together they’re parents to Miriam.

Community Pastor

Benji

Benji is our Community Pastor, helping us share the good news of Jesus with the Illawarra.

Benji grew up in Switzerland and moved to Australia to join his now-wife, Courtenay, in 2018. He is passionate about seeing people discovering Jesus and growing in their knowledge and love of the Lord. When he is not at the Cathedral, you may find him brewing coffee or running in the bush.

Youth & Young Adult Pastor

Matt

Matt directs and leads the ministry team for Youth (12-18s) and Young Adults.

After a few years doing ministry in Western Sydney, Matt and his wife have returned to St Michael's where Matt did his training. He's excited to see Youth ministry continue to grow and flourish.

Kids Minister

Annika

Annika directs and leads Children's Ministry at St Michael's

Annika is our Children's minister, and she loves getting to see kids be amazed at how great God is and how much he loves them- a privilege she's had in churches across Sydney with very diverse families. While seeing parents raise their kids to love and follow the Lord Jesus is her favourite thing, she also loves skating, drinking tea, swimming at the beach and running with friends.

Pastoral Outreach Worker in Bellambi

Sheryl

Sheryl works in partnership with Anglicare and St Michael's to engage with the community of Bellambi

Sheryl came to Wollongong in her early 20s and enjoys walking the local beaches and exploring the escarpment. She regularly attends 5pm and is an occasional 10am visitor. She loves Jesus, her family, sunrises, clouds and sunsets. Some might say she has her head in the clouds.

Church Life Coordinator (lay position)

Michelle

Michelle helps us deepen & enrich our relationships in Christ.

Michelle and her family have been at St Michael’s since they moved here in 2006. She really wants to see the church community of St Michael’s grow in rich relationships with each other as we seek to love and obey Jesus.

Operations Director

Catriona

Catriona manages the office and administration team, and assists the Wardens looking after property matters.

Catriona has lived in the Gong and attended St Michael’s since 2013. She attends the 10am service with her husband, Jonno, and their young kids. She has a background in Exercise Science and Research, and uses her varied skills to support the running of the church so that the disciples of Jesus would grow.

Admin Team Leader (PT)

Jodie

Jodie coordinates much of our administration and attends to our reception (Monday-Tuesday).

Jodie is married to John and has two daughters. She’s passionate about serving the parish in her role and using it as a ministry opportunity to the community. She loves spending quality time with friends and family over coffee and being involved in the 9:45 am service at St Michael’s.

Communications Director (PT)

Lauren

Lauren coordinates internal and external communications to keep our church family in the loop, and to help us connect with visitors.

Lauren came to Wollongong for uni, joined St Michael's, met her husband Dave, and the rest is history! Together with their three children, they are part of the 9.45am church family. Lauren loves a good long run, flat white, milk chocolate and above all - Jesus!

Admin Assistant

Stelyn

Stelyn works in our office reception (Wednesday to Friday) and assists with church administration.

Stelyn is married to Kamal, and together they have a daughter. They attend the 11:30 AM EEC service. As a family, they are avid travellers and love using their talents to serve God.

Bookkeeper

Morwenna

Morwenna helps us with bookkeeping.

Morwenna has lived in Wollongong for most of her life and attends the 11.30am service at St Michael's with her family

Anglicare Community Chaplain (in Bellambi) - Currently on Maternity Leave

Jess

Jess works in partnership with Anglicare and St Michael's to engage with the community of Bellambi

Jess loves spending time with people, outdoors in God’s amazing creation, or cooking tasty food to share. Married to Hosea, they live in Bellambi and enjoy being involved in their community and having people over in their home for a meal.
