** DAY CONFERENCE REGISTRATION HAS NOW CLOSED **
We’ll be away this Sunday 15th; regular service times will resume Sunday 22 October.
What are you afraid of?
What is fear?
What does it mean to be fearless?
What does it mean to be fearful?
In just over a week we will have our church Day Conference, looking at the topic ‘The Fear of the Lord’. Is fear of the Lord a good thing or a bad thing? What would it mean for us to fear God? What would it mean for our relationship with God if we feared him more, or feared him less? How would it impact our relationships with other people?
On Sunday October 15, we will all gather as a whole church at The Illawarra Grammar School (TIGS) in Mangerton, which has space for all of us to be together. There will be no services at Wollongong or Corrimal that day, but you can get a lift from either place to TIGS. We’ll spend the day together, eat together, sing together, hear from one another, and open God’s word together. Simon Flinders (Archdeacon to the Archbishop – who even knows what that means?) will teach us from the Bible on the topic of the fear of the Lord, and will help us think through the answers to some of those questions.
We’d love everyone to join us, even if it’s just for part of the day.
Registration will close this Sunday (8th Oct), so that we can make sure we cater for everyone. Don’t let cost be a barrier – let us know if we can help.
In Him,
Stacey Chapman
