The Power of Words
Here’s a little extract reporting an exhortation on from Peter Jensen about the power of speech: “Bad doctrine, which is a travesty of the gospel, is doing much harm. But just as harmful is the careless or self-serving language by which other believers are traduced either secretly or publicly.” (I am looking forward to reading the whole journal article.)
Guarding the Flock
I share this because mainline denominational churches like us Anglicans need to be 100% just as alert to real accountability in this area of leaders going off the rails, even if we have made some improvements in recent years.
